Scott's roots are in fiberglass; graphite material didn't even exist when we started in the early 1970's.

We made our name by creating multi-piece glass rods for backpackers chasing wild trout in the crystal clear rivers of the mountains.

We have been making glass rods ever since, and for good reason.

The new rod is a great choice for anglers who are looking for a rod that is easy to cast at close range, that will bend well on small targets, and that will be a lot of fun to fish with.

The new F Series rods utilize a slimmer taper, E-Glass material, and an improved hollow internal ferrule design to create a smooth fly rod that bends well. It will set a new standard for glass rods. It has been optimized with precision in mind, especially below 20 feet, refining casting performance up to mid-range.

By controlling the mass and stiffness of each part of the rod, we have created a lightweight rod that can create beautiful loops with just the slightest bit of line from the rod tip. It is possible to cast accurately in the tannas of mountain streams, under bosas, and even in tributaries that can be crossed by straddling them. This is a feat that graphite material cannot easily accomplish.
