Orvis' new series of rods, named "RECONNAISSANCE" (reconnaissance, investigation), is the Reekon. In addition to the blank manufacturing technology developed for Helios 2, laser cutting technology for prepreg has been newly introduced. By reducing the number of flags (cut prepreg) cut to the ideal shape and the number of places where they are laminated together, we have achieved an amazing lightness and a bend curve that does not stagnate.

Shadow green blank, black nickel reel seat, and dark burl wood (FW: fresh water specification) reel seat combine to create a luxurious appearance, yet the price range is middle class.

FW: 7' half wells, SW: Saltwater: 7' full wells grip This series will be the core of Orvis rods from 2015 onward. All models are 4-piece.
