We wanted a revolutionary, beautiful, and modern design and were quickly reminded of the difficulty of machining this complex reel.
The result of the new machine to give shape to a design that no one had ever seen before... and the new RVR shape speaks for itself.

RVR 2/3

Small streams and spring creeks are ideal for 2wt and 3wt fishing.

You don't need 70 yards of backing or drag that can stop a steelhead here, do you?
What you need is a lightweight reel designed with less capacity and perfect drag for these very sensitive fishing situations.

RVR 4/5
The line capacity, drag tension, and body weight of this reel are appropriately designed to handle the "bigger trout," "longer casts needed to fish larger streams," and "a variety of techniques" on 4wt and 5wt rods.
It works as an ideal reel for both floating lines and light sinktips, dry or wet.

RVR 6/7
A larger reel for heavier line weights, used for casting heavy flies to trophy fish in strong winds.
Don't worry, the backing capacity is more than enough to handle long running fish.
This reel is ideal for sto? Reel in all the aggressive, thick tapered lines needed to reel in reamer fishing, lake fishing with floating/intermediate/full sink rates, large dry flies such as poppers, or turn over big streamers with many joints, For these applications.
