In this issue, we introduce tying and thinking about dry flies for mountain streams that the editorial staff found "interesting". The seven flies featured are the Parachute Spider, Elk Fantasy, Tanzawa Special, Magic Bullet, Satomi Parachute, Yoppara, and Special Forces. When we put them all together, we can see that everyone is concerned not only with durability and long-lasting buoyancy, but also with "lure". The flies flow slower than the surface current, the flies themselves sway, the materials sway, and so on, but most of them are clearly aiming for an effect beyond the so-called natural drift.
