Rod Concept:
The variety of the river's scenery changes from season to season. For example, the Japanese mountain streams in the early spring offer a variety of appealing fishing conditions, such as mountain trout fishing in a village stream, iwana fishing in a mountain stream in the summer, and bush-covered bosagawas and reed-covered yabusawa (reed beds). Rods and even more importantly, actions are required to suit such conditions. The "FATES STREAMWALKER" was created as a Japan special to enjoy Japanese mountain streams after repeated testing under different themes.
The FSW663-4 (BOSAGAWA SP) is a low-pressure rod that is designed to be used for fishing in low-pressure rivers such as the bush-covered BOSAGAWA in tributary areas and the YABU-zawa running between reeds. The short rod has a semi-parabolic action that allows the angler to nimbly strike the fly with a tight loop at times, and also to make leader casts at short distances. This is the Bosagawa Special for enjoying hard-to-fish rivers! It is also compact enough to be used for stream trekking to headwaters.
The Mountain Trek is the best choice for light mountain stream fishing for char.
As the snow settles and the mayfly hatch settles down, fishing for iwana in mountain streams in the upper reaches of the river becomes more interesting. Compared to mountain trout, iwana fishing is more varied. They can be found under white bubbles, reeling in, at the edge of a rapids, at one end of the rapids, under a large rock, etc. They can be found at any number of points. We have designed the action to be relatively fast in order to hit such points at a good tempo and in pinpoint locations.
The Tiger is not interested in flies that are dragged, so we have made it possible to use a natural drift with a slightly longer leader, such as 14-16ft.
The FSW793-4 is an all-rounder that can be used in a variety of situations in Japanese mountain streams, from fishing for landlocked salmon in open midstream areas to fishing for char in slightly narrower streams in upper reaches of rivers. The action bends from the belly to the butt to follow fish after hooking them, making it difficult to be caught, and the power and fishing feel are designed for an average size Japanese mountain stream fish. The Conquest Flow is designed to conquer the various currents and locations that change with each fishing trip.
The FSW823-4 is a long-drifting fly that is designed to be used in a variety of locations and in a variety of streams. Naturally, in order to drift the fly as long as possible using a long leader and tippet, techniques such as reach casting and inverted U-shaped casting are used. We sought to create an action that facilitates this series of actions. We have made it easy to create loops even when the lure is swung slowly, and have made it possible to control the loops for presentation against various currents. The supple tip and belly section follow the unique wobbling of the landlocked salmon to reduce the risk of sprays. Long Drift" is a rod suitable for long drift fishing to attract landlocked salmon.
