Atlantic Salmon Short
The definitive shooting head for switch rods and two-handers
We have played out the optimum length with the theme of being lighter and more compact. The conclusion is rod length x 2.5x. 27.5' = approx. 8.4m for an 11' switch rod. The rod's light roll-up and powerful turnover performance maximizes the rod's potential for both overhead and spay, and for beginners and veterans alike, regardless of caster or style. Seven sink rates are available: floating, floating/hover, slow inter, inter/clear, SINK 1/2, 2/3, and 3/4.
For SWT switch rods
20g(310gr)---Applicable rod J-Switch(N+) #6~7
22g(340gr)---Rod J-Switch(N+) #6-7
22g(340gr)---Rod J-Switch(N+) #6-7
The weight for double-handed (two-handed) rods is calculated by multiplying the head length by 2.5 times the rod length for double-handed rods, while maintaining the concept of "lighter and more compact". The head length is 2.5 times longer than the rod length of the lower number.
For DH double hand
High numbers (400-520 grains) include a sink 3/4 for deep (6m or deeper) fishing in mid-summer when Lake Chuzenji is in full swing, and for streamers in the main stream. The Sink 3/4 is 0.5 to 2.5' shorter in length than other sink rates, and has cleared away the image that the Sink 3/4 is difficult to cast, as was the case with the conventional Atlantic salmon. It is now compact and easy to cast. The new fly line can be used to target deep water for large lake trout in the early season and 8m line for honmouth trout in midsummer, which were previously unaffordable.
Another new line, the Switch (SWT), is now available. The SWT has a new Sink 3/Sink 4 (S3/S4). The S3/S4 is a new line that is shorter than the other sinklines and is designed to be used in fast currents in main streams, deep lakes, and for boat fishing. The S3/S4 is designed with a shorter line than other sink rates to make it easier to cast high sink rate lines that are difficult to cast.
The new sink rate concept, Seamless Floating/Hover, is structurally in the sink tip category, but the aim is to create an exquisite sink rate that will keep the lure within 1 meter of the water depth, rather than the traditional sink tip image of the lure sinking only at the tip. A hover with a sink rate lower than that of the intermediate tip was selected for the tip portion, which accounts for 55% of the head length. The floating type is selected for the rear end of the head to prevent the head from sinking too far. The transition area, which is just over 30% of the head length, has been seamlessly shifted from a 10:0 to a 0:10 coating ratio. This creates a sink rate that keeps the fly 1 meter below the surface. On a fast retrieve without countdown, the fly can be kept just below the surface, or left with a fluorocarbon leader or weighted fly, or on an ultra-slow retrieve, the fly can be kept more than 1 meter below the surface over a rise. When fish are inactive, it is also effective to wait until the floating part is pulled into the water and retrieve very slowly. When used in rivers, the majority of the head breaks the surface of the water and enters the water, so the swing speed can be reduced more than with a floating line. It is also ideal for situations where you want to let your fly drift through the waves when pink salmon or salmon are in the water. A completely new type of sink rate seamless floating/hover. It is a new way to fish, and your ideas may make it possible to fish in ways that were not possible before.
