You will receive the hackle in the image as it is.
This is a wonderful volume of hackle.
The High & Dry Hackle has a wide variety of dyed colors, similar to the Whiting Hackle, but this one is all natural, and each piece is a slightly different color, like the Hebert Hackle. It is characterized by subtly different shades. The fiber is moderately taut and the stalks are moderately soft. It can be used in a wide variety of sizes, from midge size to about #10 size.
This hackle is still in experimental production and is only shipped once a year in small quantities.
Therefore, it is not color-coded and is sold as a single-color product.
There are two grades, but those that do not meet the shipping standards are distinguished as "Pro-Garde" and sold as two grades in effect.
The colors can be roughly divided into grizzly, brown, and badger, with a particularly high percentage of badgers, which are rare in other hackles (Whiting and Hebert), and many rare colors such as Dan Badger are also attractive. If you see this hackle in a store, we recommend that you pick it up and check it out.
We may also have a few Rooster Saddles in stock. Since most saddles are shipped to "finished fly" factories, they do not become a tying material, but they do come in when the timing is right. Currently there are two grades, #1 and #3 (Pro Grade equivalent).
