CDC Solaxdan Hermon hirata

　A standard fly for mountain streams that works well for both fishing upstream and targeting rises.
It has a tail similar to that of a real subadult and floats on the surface of the water
.
It is recommended as a first fly, especially in high pressure rivers.


The male has a creamish body color. The ♂ has a creamish body color, but the ♀ has this color.
It has long been said that trout target and feed on hymenoptera,
but what is effective during the actual hatch is still the same thing.
The actual hatch is most effective with this color.

The underside of the hackle is cut. The underside of the hackle is cut off to make it easier to cast and more stable on the surface of the water.

Medium or dark dun is recommended for the color of the CDC.
If you have difficulty seeing in the field, choose white or light dun.
Floatant can be used in powder (including spray), liquid, and paste types.
